Ambassador Siegel is president of The Siegel Group, a multi-disciplined international business management advisory firm he founded in 1997 in Boca Raton, Florida, specializing in real estate, energy, utilities, infrastructure, financial services, oil & gas, and cyber & secure technology. As president of The Siegel Group, Mr. Siegel played a major role in some of South Florida’s largest commercial real estate ventures including Blue Lake office park in Boca Raton, Florida (the former IBM campus), Miami One Centre (presently known as Met One Centre) in downtown Miami, Florida, and Boca Village, a strategic blend of national retailers, restaurants, professional offices, a bank, fitness center, and mass transit facility in Boca Raton, Florida. Prior to 1997, his business interests focused primarily on the development of residential communities in New Jersey, Florida, and California as President of The Weingarten-Siegel Group, becoming one of the largest residential developers in the United States. Ambassador Siegel has developed, managed, and owned more than one billion dollars worth of real estate throughout his career.
Ambassador Siegel has served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of numerous public and private companies, and private equity groups. Presently, he serves on the Board of Directors of the following companies: Board Chairman of CIM City, a digital online Merger & Acquisition deal platform using advanced AI and blockchain technology that allows investment banks to expose stalled and slow-moving M&A deals too much broader investment audiences; Maridose, LLC, a privately held Florida corporation; which has applied to the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to grow research-grade cannabis for use by DEA registered researchers. Maridose, LLC has assembled an international team of experts in microbial biotechnology, standardized cultivation techniques, and research design and development. Upon the approval of the DEA application, a cultivation and research facility will be located in the State of Maine; the Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition (CILC) – CILC is an NGO that partners with Israeli expertise, technology, and investment to bring sustainable development for the Caribbean and engages Caribbean people in the Pro-Israel movement to counter the global rise of anti-Semitism and the Campaign to delegitimize the Nation of Israel; and the Caribbean Israel Venture Services, Inc. (CIVSI)). CIVSI is a company that represents specific Israeli companies that have the potential to add significant value to the Caribbean. Its purpose is to facilitate mutually beneficial trade between Israel and the Caribbean; Moveo, LLC, a full-service transportation company serving over 450 cities with a full complement of service choices – airport limo services, hourly charters, group transportation, and special events/tours. Ambassador Siegel presently serves on the Advisory.
Board of Brand Labs International (BLI). BLI is a premier brand management company, that acts as a broker between world-class brands and well-established real estate developers worldwide. Founded in Miami, with offices in the U.K., Germany, and Portugal, BLI is located strategically to effectively manage its diverse domestic and international portfolio of clients and partners.
He previously served the following Board of Director positions: GBT Technologies, Inc., a development-stage company specializing in the creation of Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled mobile technologies from 2018-2020; as Executive Chairman of the Board of Notis Global, Inc. (NGBL), a pioneer in the worldwide legal hemp and CBD Oil industry, specializing in cultivation, extraction and product development, from 2014-2020; as Chairman of the Board of Viscount Systems, Inc., a Nevada corporation with operations in the United States and Canada, that has been designing security systems since 1969, with products installed in approximately 35,000 sites in over 30 countries, including government facilities, multi-family high-rise’s, schools, prisons, hospitals, and corporate offices, from 2014 until the company was sold to Identiv, Inc. in December 2018; as a Board Member of, Inc. an on-line mail order retail pharmacy, selling FDA-approved/legal for sale drugs in the United States from 2013-2016; as a Board Member of Baltia Air Lines, Inc. dba US Global Airways – undergoing FAA air carrier certification to be a new U.S. international passenger airline, with cargo, mail and charter capabilities from 2017-2018; and as a Board Member of Positive ID Corporation, a life sciences company that develops and markets advanced biological detection and diagnostic solutions for homeland security and global healthcare needs from 2011-2019.
Ambassador Siegel has maintained a long-standing relationship with the State of Israel spanning over 20 years of involvement with various Israeli companies and institutions working to bring U.S. companies to Israel, and Israeli companies to the United States. In January 2012, he co-founded The Siegel Rabin Group, Ltd., and The Siegel Investments Group Israel, Ltd. (“SIGI”), with partner Yuval Rabin, expanding the reach of Israeli industry and corporate contacts. Presently, five specific companies SIGI is engaged with are: Tel Aviv based Vocalis Health Ltd., was formed in December 2019 by the merger of two digital health start-up companies, Beyond Verbal Communication Ltd. and Healthymize Ltd. Vocalis Health’s focus is artificial intelligence and voice analysis applications in the health sector. The company’s technology allows healthcare providers to assess an individual’s health based on their voice. Amb. Siegel was a Founding member of Beyond Verbal Communication Ltd. and is a shareholder of Vocalis Health Ltd.;, formerly Private Secretary, is an automated “virtual” personal assistant bot for the confidential automatic scheduling of meetings between multiple participants built on unique patented technology that requires no need to download an app or any software. Amb. Siegel was a Founding member of Private Secretary and a shareholder of Elmina, Ltd., founded in 2006, with a mission to perfect a technology.
That would reveal an individual’s unique brain function “signatures” or “fingerprints”, creating objective measurements bringing greater certainty to the diagnosis of brain disorders and injuries,
enabling better clinical decision-making for treatment. Amb. Siegel is a Member of the Advisory Board and shareholder. Sol Chip, Ltd., an Internet of Things (IoT) systems and energy harvesting solutions provider. Sol Chip’s patented and trademarked LightChip, solar cell on a chip, and LightBattery, everlasting solar battery, provide a platform for disruptive applications, including precision agriculture, home automation, and smart cities. Amb. Siegel is a Member of the Advisory Board and shareholder. Findings. a low-touch supply chain SOAR (security orchestration, automation & response) platform providing security compliance verification for both vendors and enterprises. Amb. Siegel is a Member of the Advisory Board and shareholder.
In addition to his 30 years of entrepreneurial success and real estate development, Ambassador Siegel has a distinguished record of public service. Mr. Siegel was nominated by President George W. Bush in May of 2007 to serve as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. His nomination was confirmed by the Senate on September 12, 2007, and Mr. Siegel was sworn in as the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas on October 26, 2007, by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. During his tenure as Ambassador, he resided full-time in Nassau, serving as Chief of Mission responsible for all operations of Embassy Nassau. In May of 2009, Ambassador Siegel was presented with the United States Coast Guard Meritorious Public Service Award for his support of the United States Coast Guard and advocate of the U.S. Coast Guard’s key partnerships with the Royal Bahamian Defense Force, Royal Bahamian Police Force, and the Bahamas Air and Sea Rescue Association, combating the threats of illegal migration and drug trafficking throughout the Bahamian islands.
Prior to his Ambassadorship, he was honored by two additional presidential appointments – in 2006 Mr. Siegel served with Ambassador John R. Bolton at the United Nations in New York, as the Senior Advisor to the U.S. Mission and as the United States Representative to the 61st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, and from 2003-2007 he served on the Board of Directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), which was established in 1971 to help U.S. businesses invest overseas, fostering economic development in new and emerging markets, complementing the private sector in managing the risk associated with foreign direct investment and supporting U.S. foreign policy.
Mr. Siegel graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Connecticut in 1973 and received a Juris Doctorate from the Dickinson School of Law in 1976. In December 2014, he received an honorary degree in Doctor Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
